ST FRANCIS OF ASSISI
ARTIST STATEMENT
There is an innate beauty that exists when the sacred and the mundane intersect, an inimitable light that occurs in the meeting of the ordinary and the extraordinary, and a serene harmony echoed where the sinner meets the saint.
As a Franciscan Artist, my work is a constant exploration and discovery of the beauty, the light and the harmony that exists in the coincidence of opposites. I use materials that many often categorized as opposing and contradictory. Blending them, I strive to emphasize their uniqueness to tell a story, to share an experience, or to make a stand in a world that has created too many opposites.
